Joseph Lathan, PhD, professor of practice and director of online programs in the department of learning and teaching, can discuss tips for students and parents to leverage online digital tools learned while class was held virtually and how these resources can promote a richer learning experience. Engineering professor connects her students with the San Diego blind community to build projects Odesma Dalrymple, an engineering professor, is connecting her students with members of the blind and low-vision community as part of their course on user-centered design. Alyssa Plisic, BSN, RN, a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) student at USD, evaluated the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on physical activity in kids 8-17 years old and found that 100% of study participants decreased their physical activity due to COVID-19.
