Colio can speak to what health care professionals can expect as more and more cease the use of masks and what the next flu season may look like. NOAA Report Predicts 2021 Could Be One of the 10 Warmest Years on Record A recent Global Climate Report from NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) found that "it is very likely that the year 2021 will rank among the 10 warmest years on record." Zhi-Yong Yin, professor of Environmental and Ocean Sciences, can provide insight on this report and what early predictors are already placing 2021 as one of the warmest years, just six months into the year. Amazon Prime Day's "Halo Effect" on Other Businesses Amazon Prime Day — the company's major "shopping holiday" — is happening right now (June 21 and 22). Colin Campbell, assistant professor of marketing and an expert in consumer behavior, can speak about what has made Prime Day such a hugely successful event for Amazon, why we as consumers love a good deal, and how big of an influence the event has on the promotional strategies of other retailers and small businesses. The University of San Diego has partnered up with the San Diego Foundation to provide enriching STEM summer opportunities through the Level Up program, benefiting San Diego Unified School District students. USD Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering Odesma Dalrymple, PhD, is available to speak about the five fun and exciting STEM summer programs, which will be free of charge to SDUSD students who signed up for the classes taking place during the months of June, July and August.
