Study Finds Younger Workers Do A study from Jobvite found that 41% of "younger workers are most likely to search for jobs on social media." Dozens of California Counties are Under a Drought State of Emergency. What has kept San Diego County off the List? Governor Gavin Newsom expanded his drought state of emergency county list in May. San Diego County is not on that list and is one of the few counties to be in a moderate drought, according to a map from the National Integrated Drought Information System. What is the state of San Diego County's drought situation and why has the area fared better than the rest of the state? Zhi-Yong Yin, environmental and ocean sciences professor, can provide insight on this topic. It's Summer Blockbuster Season but will Moviegoers Go or Stay Home and Stream? USD Spotlight USD hosts Harry Potter-themed Forest School for SDUSD students
USD is offering a series of five different enrichment programs this summer for K-12 students enrolled in the San Diego Unified School District. The events, which are funded through the San Diego Foundation's Level Up grant, will provide students with exciting, hands-on engagement in the areas of STEAM, outdoor learning, and more. The first program — a Harry Potter-themed Forest School, pictured left — kicked off last week in Tecolote Canyon, and programs will run through August.
