Dear undergraduate students,
We are just a few weeks away from a fully reopened campus. Today, I write to remind you that all classes will be in-person and to keep you apprised of the transfer of online credit policy.
Please note the following:
In-Person Courses: All courses will be taught in-person and synchronously in the fall 2021 semester. Students are encouraged to review the student section of the Onward USD website for more details concerning the Fall 2021 return to campus plans.
Transfer of Online Course Policy: You might be aware that USD adopted changes to the transfer of credit policy during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters, which allowed the transfer of many online courses due to the pandemic and remote learning requirements. Please be advised USD is returning to our established guidelines for the transfer of online courses. This policy will preclude the transfer of most online courses taken after September 1, 2021. Students should file a Request for Transfer Articulation (found in My Academics in the Torero Hub in the MySanDiego portal) prior to taking any course off-campus to ensure it will transfer to USD for credit.
Onward USD:
USD continues to actively monitor the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and follow best practices in public health and state/county guidelines. For the most up to date guidance, protocols, vaccination progress and protective measures: please review the Onward USD website.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to keep our community healthy. The pandemic has disrupted all our lives, and we recognize your resilience and dedication during this incredibly stressful time.
We look forward to seeing you in person!
