CA Regulatory Law Clinic I: Spring 2024
The Consumer Protection Policy Center (CPPC) is currently looking for students interested in monitoring the activities of two or more administrative agencies. This clinic provides legal experiences that help students stand out from the typical law school resume. Students will submit a report for their assigned agencies to be published in CPPC’s California Regulatory Law Reporter, which is featured on Westlaw. Students will also provide updates throughout the semester via social media posts and blogs on the CPPC website, as well as attend agency meetings and hearings that can occur all over California.
Please apply or direct any questions to CPPC’s Administrative Director, Marcus Friedman, at MFriedman@sandiego.edu or (619) 260-4100.

Increased CalFresh Eligibility
Federal regulations have expanded the eligibility criteria for the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as CalFresh in California. This program allows eligible students to use this important resource to purchase food. CalFresh is money for food that comes on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which works like a debit card. It can help you pay for groceries while you are in college.
Many graduate and professional students are eligible for CalFresh benefits 12 months a year. These benefits are for everyone, regardless of profession or income level, and we encourage you to apply. To start your application head to https://students.getcalfresh.org/. If you have questions about eligibility, need assistance with your application or have any other questions about the CalFresh program you can reach out to lawaid@sandiego.edu.
