11th Annual Holiday Challenge
We are very excited to announce the 11th Annual Holiday Challenge Blanket Making and Blood Drive! charity project for people in need.
Wednesday 3 December 2025 10 AM to 4:00 PM UC FORUM ROOMS A & B
As we know, the homeless continue to struggle in San Diego and the Blood Banks are experiences shortages along with everything else. Help is needed more than ever to keep people warm and have blood for emergencies, etc. The Holiday Challenge is an integral part in lifting our greater community.
Our Goal, The Mission: To get as many people to donate blood and to make as many blankets as possible.
In addition to bringing the Holiday Challenge back, we would like to surpass our efforts from the 2024 Holiday Challenge where we had 60 pints of blood and 80 blankets. The blood collected helped to save over 105 lives and we could have more blankets except we ran out of fabric! We are hoping for this year to be able to get more people and raise money to buy more fabric (JoAnn’s doesn’t donate, just gives a nice discount).
Blood donors will a coupon for BROKEN YOLK entrée (up to $15) and all participants will receive a promotional item (currently chick fil a sandwich).
