Dear USD Campus Community,
Our wonderful tradition of singing carols and lighting the Christmas tree was a beautiful reminder of how our Torero family comes together to reflect upon the many gifts God has given to us as we work together to bring light out of darkness.
As you now engage in final exams, project deadlines and grading papers, I wanted to extend to you, your families and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Harris family.
In this season of anticipation, preparation and giving, we can thank God for the selfless example of service by our students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and friends of USD.
Once again, our Torero family has demonstrated its resilience in the face of so many challenges in 2021 and throughout the fall semester. May each one of you, regardless of your faith tradition, have an opportunity to pause, reflect and enjoy this holiday season with family and friends as we look forward to a new year filled with opportunities to bring hope, warmth and a generous spirit to those in most need.
Peace,
James T. Harris III, D.Ed. President
