Fertilizer Shortage Impacting Food Prices

Immigration Law Expert Available to Provide Insight on Ukrainian Refugees Coming to the U.S.

The UN Refugee Agency shared in a recent release that "more than 10.5 million people have been displaced either within Ukraine or abroad as refugees, around a quarter of the population." Tammy Lin, supervising attorney at the University of San Diego (USD) Legal Clinics' Immigration Clinic, can provide insight on the immigration laws that Ukrainians will be applying for when coming to the U.S. and the situation at the U.S.- Mexico border as other asylum cases, from other countries, are also pending.

Earth Month: The Local Effect of the UN’s Report on Global Greenhouse Gas Emissions

A new report from the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) found "limiting [global] warming to nearly 3 degrees Fahrenheit requires global greenhouse gas emissions to peak before 2025 at the latest, and be reduced by 43% by 2030." Researchers found one of the ways to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions is through the right infrastructure and technology. Darbi Berry, director at the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative housed at The Nonprofit Institute at USD, can provide insight on the report and how San Diego stacks up against other cities’ green initiatives and technologies.
