USD Professors Create Art Piece for La Jolla Park, Part of City’s Park Social Project
|
Four USD professors have created an art piece for the City of San Diego’s Park Social project, with the goal of introducing “social-specific public art” at local parks. The professors developed Reflexion, an art piece that consists of three mirrored faces that will allow the community to see varying reflections of themselves and the park – experiencing the area in a new, interactive way, and inviting reflection on the many ways to see the world. The installation will be set up at the Ellen Scripps Browning Park from June 11 to June 26. It will move to Kellogg Park from July 9 to July 24. Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick, associate professor at USD, is available to speak about the art piece. *The installation is expected to be complete by Friday.

* Please note that times of availability will vary according to professors' schedules.
