She can speak on why mental health in the Hispanic community is stigmatized and why it is important for everyone to have access to mental health care. *Spanish Interview Available

Biology Professors and Students Study Impact of Climate Change on the Spread of a Zombie Disease in Caterpillars

Dr. Arietta Fleming-Davies, assistant professor of biology, Dr. Wilnelia Recart Gonzalez, NSF Postdoctoral Fellow, and several students have been studying how climate change might be affecting the spread of a "zombie" disease that is killing caterpillars and takes over the mechanism that allows the caterpillar to turn into a butterfly. The goal of the research is to learn how infectious diseases emerge and spread and also provide insight on how climate change effects, like drought, impact the spread of viruses. The professors and students are available for interviews and reporters can visit the lab. *Spanish interviews available.
