A recent survey of more than 2,500 workers found that nearly half of those surveyed are looking for or have plans to look for a new job in the new year. According to the survey, that is up from 41% just six months ago. Matt Yepez, the senior director of USD’s Career Development Center, can talk about some of the steps people can take to stand out in a job application and what to consider when applying for a new job.

The European Union recently fined Facebook's parent company Meta $414 million for violating its data-protection laws. The violation stems from Meta essentially forcing users to allow personalized ads and experiences, or else be barred from using the company's products. Could the ruling have a long-term impact on Meta's services and its bottom line? Personalized ads are at the core of platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Department Chair of Marketing at USD, Justine Rapp Farrell, can talk about how a ruling from European regulators could affect American users, and what kinds of changes could come from this.
