The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative at USD & its Partners Develop the First of its Kind Roadmap to Protect San Diego County Coastlines from Climate Change
|
In an effort to contextualize and emphasize the impacts of climate change on coastal health, the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative, which is housed at the Nonprofit Institute at the University of San Diego, partnered with Resilient Cities Catalyst and CivicWell to launch the San Diego Region Coastal Resilience Roadmap (Roadmap) – the first roadmap of its kind in California that will provide community leaders with an easy-to-follow guide to enhance resilience along the coast, and in their own communities. The Roadmap will serve as a guide of what cities are doing, and plan to do, to combat climate change in their communities while also sharing an “Actions Database” with more than 80 actions needed to move the needle in protecting our coastline. Darbi Berry, Director of Climate & Environmental Programs at The Nonprofit Institute, is available to discuss the Roadmap and how other cities can follow these climate action steps to support the region's pathway to coastal resilience.
