Southern California has been hit by big storms recently, bringing record rainfalls, wind and flooding to our area. NOAA expected El Niño conditions to "continue for the next several seasons" and then transition to neutral as early as May. Zhi-Yong Yin, professor of environmental and ocean sciences, can talk about what we've seen with these recent storms that can tie into El Niño conditions and how these weather patterns can forecast what we can expect through the season.

What are Tenants' Rights When a Storm Leaves Their Homes Uninhabitable?

Alysson Snow, leader of the Housing Rights Legal Clinic at USD's School of Law, is representing several tenants who have been impacted by recent flooding from the storms and are facing legal issues with their housing. A moratorium was recently signed by county leaders to end any storm-related evictions for 60 days in flood-impacted zip codes. Snow can discuss the legal issues that tenants are facing across the county and share more about a tenant's rights.
