Report: White House to Announce “Parole in Place” Immigration Program

Multiple reports suggest that as soon as today, the White House will announce an executive action to establish a program that could affect hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants living in the United States. The “Parole in Place” program would reportedly provide work permits and deportation protections to select undocumented immigrants who are married to U.S. citizens, and provide them with a path to citizenship. Tammy Lin is the Supervising Attorney of USD Legal Clinics’ Immigration Clinic. She’s available to discuss the details of the reported program, who it would affect, and how it might impact the country’s strained immigration system.

Apple Intelligence Raises Privacy Concerns

A major announcement from Apple is raising some questions about customer privacy. The company recently announced plans to integrate OpenAI into its phones and other products – using the software to go through messages, emails and other data on your phone to answer questions and carry out other personal tasks. Apple says it has a system in place that will ensure users' privacy, but it has raised some concerns. Niko Behar is an adjunct professor of cybersecurity as well as a cybersecurity consultant. He can talk about how Apple AI's system would work, what vulnerabilities it may have, and offer general tips on how people can keep their personal information more private.
