What Should You Do If Your Flight is Canceled or Delayed?

AAA estimates that approximately one in four people in the U.S. will travel for Thanksgiving, potentially resulting in crowded airports and longer wait times. Travelers should be prepared for the possibility of flight disruptions. What are your rights when flying? Craig Barkacs, professor of business law, is available to discuss this topic and offer advice on the accommodations and compensation travelers are entitled to if their flights are canceled or delayed.

Small Business Saturday is November 30 -- What's the Impact of Shopping Small?

The holiday shopping season is here, and with Small Business Saturday this weekend, consumers have the opportunity to consider shopping local for gifts. Amy Duncan, director of the Brink SBDC at USD, can share the economic impact of shopping locally, how people can support their local businesses and what trends we're seeing in small businesses in San Diego County.

USD Opens Center Focused on Creating More Sustainable Food Systems

USD just launched the Center for Food Systems Transformation (CFST), an initiative designed to address critical issues in food systems and promote sustainable practices. The CFST will be a hub for research, education and community engagement aimed at transforming food systems and addressing climate change and other issues of justice.
