Local Executives Learn About "Business for Good"
|
This week, USD is kicking off a special seminar for more than a dozen executives from the region, who will learn about "Business for Good." The concept is aimed at putting people before profits — imbuing businesses with an earnest and tangible commitment to their workers, communities and environment. The seminar will take these executives out of the classroom, to see real businesses operating under these principles in San Diego and around the world. Paula Cordeiro, Dammeyer Distinguished Professor of Global Leadership and Education, is leading the seminar. She can explain "Business for Good", a growing global trend, what the seminar teaches executives, and how it could impact local businesses and the community.

Snow has been working to help several tenants and educate landlords on the new changes, without requiring tenants to pay larger security deposits. Snow can talk about the new law, how it's impacting tenants, and what rights tenants have in this situation.
