This comes after the passing of Pope Francis, and hasn’t happened since his election in 2013. Michael Lovette-Colyer is the Vice President of Mission Integration at USD and Victor Carmona is a professor of theology. Nurses Week: How USD Helps Educate the Military’s Nurses

Tuesday marks the beginning of nurses week, which also falls within Military Appreciation Month. At USD, the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science routinely works with active duty nurses to train them for specialized care and for work in an operational environment. Dr. Sheree Scott is the Director of USD’s Clinical Nursing Specialist programs and a veteran herself. She can discuss the type of education USD provides active duty nurses, and how their work also intersects with local civilian health care providers and supports veterans.

USD’s Torero Space Program Designing CubeSat for Potential NASA Launch
|
The Torero Space Program, a new student club at USD founded by engineering student Jacob Ramirez, is developing a CubeSat (miniature satellite) as part of a proposal for NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative. If selected, NASA will cover the cost of launching the satellite into space. The club is currently in the design phase and has already built a preliminary prototype. Jacob Ramirez is available for interviews, and the group can showcase their latest designs and share their vision for space innovation at USD.
