USD's Housing Rights Legal Clinic Launches New Eviction Negotiation Program
|
The Housing Rights Legal Clinic at USD's School of Law has launched an Eviction Negotiation Program to provide free legal assistance to low-income tenants in eviction negotiation proceedings. The tenants, on the day set for their trial, will be able to receive legal assistance in negotiating a resolution to the eviction. Prior to this program, many tenants did not have access to an attorney. Without legal counsel, many people unnecessarily became homeless. Alysson Snow, director of the Housing Rights Legal Clinic, can discuss how this program provides tenants with critical legal advice and negotiation assistance in their eviction process. *Interviews available in English and Spanish.
