University of San Diego - President's Postcard

Dear Toreros,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy, healthy and restful holiday season. Spring semester is underway and before we look forward at all of the wonderful things headed our way, I wanted to take a moment to put a bow on 2022. Congratulations to AVCA Coach of the Year Jen Petrie and the Women’s Volleyball team on a historic run to the NCAA Final Four! Your incredible accomplishments on the court this season were an inspiration to Toreros everywhere. Spring is such a special time at USD – there are so many inspiring events on our upcoming calendar, including two of my favorites being held this week: the biannual Alcalá Bazaar throughout Paseo de Colachis and the 30th annual All Faith Service this Thursday in the KIPJ Theatre. I hope you will all join me in celebrating these yearly traditions. February is also Black History Month and we celebrate our amazing USD Black community with more than a dozen events organized by groups around campus.

Sincerely,

James T. Harris III, President
