For the second consecutive school year, April was Research Month at USD. Originally established as Research Week in 2017, the annual spring event was extended last year to four weeks dedicated to events that showcase the amazing work being conducted by both faculty and students at USD. As a contemporary Catholic university dedicated to the fullest development of the whole person, research is a critical component of who we are and the values we cherish — academic excellence, knowledge, community, ethical conduct and compassionate service.
Congratulations to our nine winners of the Top University Faculty Awards, who will be recognized at our Fall Convocation. Your tireless work and contributions to this university are an inspiration.
Finally, it’s hard to believe that in just a few short weeks, Commencement will be here. As always, the year has flown by. Graduates, as you prepare to embark on your next journey, I look forward to congratulating each of you on stage for your dedication to the pursuit of a degree from the University of San Diego.
