University of San Diego - President's Postcard

Dear Toreros,

Congratulations to the 14 recipients of the 3rd Annual Diversity and Inclusion Impact Awards, who were honored last month for their sustained commitment to justice for historically marginalized communities. These amazing individuals have gone above and beyond in their efforts to make USD a more inclusive, supportive and welcoming institution.

I am thrilled to announce the hiring of Kimya Massey as our next associate vice president and executive director of athletics. Kimya’s experience and passion for developing student-athletes is incredibly impressive and we are so fortunate and excited for him to lead Torero Athletics into the future.

President for a Day is right around the corner. Since 2016, this annual initiative gives me the ability to switch roles with an undergraduate student for the day. Each spring semester, I look forward to stepping back into the classroom and having the unique opportunity to learn from our amazing students and faculty. Please encourage your favorite Torero to apply to be President for the Day.

Peace,

Jim
